CANINE BEHAVIOR, REHABILITATION & HEALTH SEMINAR DESIGNED FOR RESCUE, FOSTER, SHELTER & ANIMAL CONTROL PERSONNEL
When: Sunday, November 13, 2011 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Where: Club Canine, 4703 Rose Street, Houston, Texas 77007
What: The Seminar will focus on the behavior, signals, language and understanding of canines, as well as results oriented discussions of training and working with canines. The purpose is to help Rescues, Fosters, Shelters and Animal Control personnel (staff or volunteer) to be better facilitators of care and rehabilitation of canines. This provides calmer, well behaved and better balanced dogs to the public and helps with adoption of them as well. Rescue groups, shelters, animal control and their volunteers are the front line of recovering dogs from untenable situations, and kennel craziness. This seminar will help people working and/or volunteering in these areas to be more aware of actual conditions and behaviors, what they mean from the canine’s standpoint, how to better correct behaviors without conflict, and how to recognize and match up both fosters, and final adoption families with a particular personality and type of dog.
Cost: Only $35 to help cover our direct costs
