In 2007 the Professional Dog Walkers Association International merged with the International Association of Canine Professionals. This Section has been established to enhance the services of the IACP to Dog Walkers world wide.

Members provide a wide range of pet care services, such as dogwalking, grooming, training, boarding or cat visits, or pet sitting. The association has recognized that pet care is rapidly growing in popularity throughout the world.

The Dog Walkers Division  supports our members and helps prepare those coming into the industry and encourage to continue their education even after they are established. These days pet care business's are faced with lots of competition. When new dogwalking & pet care companies appear and do not have the experience or the status of a professional, this can leave the client with a negative impression and hesitant to hire a dogwalker or pet care provider due to poor quality from past experiences. This impression causes others to lose business and we may be painted with the same brush. Here at IACP, our commitment to high standards of professionalism make us different from the rest! We may be imitated but we cannot be equalled. Our members have not forgotten the reason why they got into this business in the first place - they love and wanted to work with animals!

Another Source For Dog Walkers in your area is DogWalker.com is a website set up to allow dog owners to search for dog walking professionals in their city, neighborhood, or zip code. Dog walkers can sign up for listings and provide their contact information (name, address, website, phone, email) as well as a business description. Dog owners are able to contact listed dog walkers using a form on the page. This will allow dog walkers to track their business directly as a result of advertising on DogWalker.com.

Because the website is DogWalker.com, it is search engine friendly and easy for dog owners to remember. DogWalker.com is currently advertising on Google, in addition to its organic search presence. The listing fee is just $49 annually, which is comparable to other websites. $10 of the sign-up fee from members of the IACP will be donated by DogWalker.com to the IACP War Dog Fund.
